Prepare the Chicken
Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.

Chop the Garlic and Mushrooms
Mince the garlic cloves and slice the fresh mushrooms.

Chop the Parsley
Finely chop the fresh parsley for garnish.
Cooking the Chicken Marsala

Sauté the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm.

Deglaze with Marsala Wine
Pour the Marsala wine into the skillet to deglaze, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom. Let it simmer for about 2-3 minutes.

Add Chicken Broth
Add the chicken broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Let it reduce for another 3-4 minutes.

Combine Chicken and Sauce
Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the chicken. Cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
