Tea Blend
Method
Preparation
- 1
Combine Ingredients
In a large pitcher, combine the Sencha green tea leaves and roasted brown rice.
- 2
Add Cold Water
Pour 8 cups of cold water into the pitcher over the tea and rice mixture.
- 3
Steep the Blend
Cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator. Let the mixture steep for at least 12 hours or overnight for maximum flavor.
- 4
Strain the Tea
After steeping, strain the mixture using a fine mesh sieve or a tea strainer to remove the leaves and rice.
- 5
Mix in Matcha
In a separate bowl, whisk the stone-milled matcha powder with a small amount of cold water until smooth. Gradually mix this into the strained tea blend.
- 6
Sweeten to Taste
If desired, add sweetener to taste. Stir well to combine.
