Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) to ensure it’s hot enough for baking the baguette.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the gluten-free all-purpose flour, psyllium husk powder, baking powder, and salt. Whisk together until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In a separate bowl, mix the warm water, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar. Stir well to combine.

  4. 4

    Form the Dough

Gradually pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring continuously until a thick dough forms. It should be slightly sticky but manageable.

  5. 5

    Shape the Baguette

Transfer the dough onto a floured surface (use more gluten-free flour). Divide the dough into two equal parts. Shape each part into a baguette form, about 12 inches long.

Baking

  1. 6

    Prepare the Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.

  2. 7

    Place on Baking Sheet

Carefully place the shaped baguettes onto the prepared baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the baguettes.

  3. 8

    Bake the Baguette

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the baguettes are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.

  4. 9

    Cool Before Serving

Once baked, remove the baguettes from the oven and allow them to cool on a wire rack for at least 15 minutes before slicing.
