Marinade

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Marinating the Paneer

In a large mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, lemon juice, salt, and oil. Mix well to form a marinade.

  2. 2

    Cutting the Paneer

Cut the paneer into 1-inch cubes and add them to the marinade. Ensure that all pieces are well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight for best results).

  3. 3

    Preparing the Vegetables

While the paneer is marinating, wash and cut the bell peppers and onion into 1-inch pieces. Keep the cherry tomatoes whole.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Skewering

Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Thread the marinated paneer, bell peppers, onion, and cherry tomatoes onto skewers, alternating between them.

  2. 5

    Grilling the Skewers

Brush the grill with a little oil to prevent sticking. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer is golden and slightly charred, and the vegetables are tender.

Serving

  1. 6

    Serving the Paneer Tikka

Once grilled, remove the skewers from the grill and serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
