Method
Fresh Fruit & Sweetener
- 1
- 2
Macerate (optional, for sweeter juice)
If using granulated sugar and you prefer sweeter juice, combine strawberries and 1 tsp sugar in a bowl and let sit 10 minutes to macerate, which releases juices and intensifies flavor. If using honey, add honey later when blending so it incorporates evenly.
Blending & Straining
- 3
Blend the fruits
Place strawberries and orange segments into a blender. Add the lemon juice and 1/2 cup of the cold water. Blend on high for 30–45 seconds until smooth and homogeneous.
- 4
Sweeten and adjust consistency
Taste the blended mixture. If using honey, add it now (up to 1 tsp) and blend 5–10 seconds. If the juice is too thick, add remaining 1/2 cup water and blend briefly to thin to desired consistency.
- 5
Strain (optional)
For a smooth, pulp-free juice, pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or chinois into a pitcher, pressing gently on solids with a spatula to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard solids or reserve for smoothies/compote.
Chill & Serve
- 6
Add ice cubes to serving glasses or chill the strained juice in the refrigerator for 10–15 minutes. If not straining, pour the blended mixture over ice and stir.
- 7
Garnish each glass with a strawberry slice, an orange wheel, and a mint sprig if desired. Serve immediately.
