Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Coffee Mixture
In a shallow dish, combine the cooled espresso coffee with the coffee liqueur (if using). Set aside.
- 2
Make the Mascarpone Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream. Using a hand mixer, beat the mixture until smooth and creamy.
- 3
Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the bottom of a rectangular dish.
- 4
Layer the Mixture
Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers. Repeat with another layer of dipped ladyfingers followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.
- 5
Chill the Tiramisu
Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 6
Serve
Before serving, dust the top of the tiramisu with cocoa powder. Slice and enjoy!
