Method
Preparation of Filling
- 1
Prepare Ingredients
Finely chop the green onions, garlic, and ginger.
- 2
Mix Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Assembling Wontons
- 3
Fill Wontons
Take one wonton wrapper and place about 1 teaspoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half to form a triangle, and press the edges to seal. You can also bring the two opposite corners together to form a 'purse' shape if desired. Repeat until all wrappers are filled.
Frying Wontons
- 4
Heat Oil
In a deep frying pan or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
- 5
Fry Wontons
Carefully place a few wontons in the hot oil (do not overcrowd) and fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until they are golden brown and crispy. Remove them from the oil with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
Dipping Sauce
- 6
Mix Sauce
In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili oil, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved.
