Wrapper
Method
Wrapping and Frying
- 1
Prepare the Wrappers
Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place about one tablespoon of the crab filling in the center of each wrapper.
- 2
Fold the Wrappers
Moisten the edges of the wonton wrappers with water. Fold the wrapper in half diagonally to form a triangle, then press the edges to seal. To create a classic rangoon shape, bring the two bottom corners of the triangle together and press to seal.
- 3
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat the oil over medium heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 4
Fry the Crab Rangoon
Carefully drop a few crab rangoon into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
