Method
Cooking Pasta
- 1
Boil the Water
In a large pot, bring 4 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Add 1 tsp of salt to the boiling water.
- 2
Cook the Fettuccine
Add the fettuccine pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, until al dente. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 3
Drain the Pasta
Once cooked, drain the pasta in a colander and set aside. Do not rinse.
Grilling Chicken
- 4
Prepare the Chicken
Rub the chicken breasts with 2 tbsp of olive oil, then season with 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of salt, and 0.5 tsp of black pepper.
- 5
Grill the Chicken
Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the chicken for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Making Alfredo Sauce
- 6
- 7
Add Cream and Garlic
Once the butter is melted, add 2 cups of heavy cream and 2 minced garlic cloves. Stir to combine and let simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 8
Incorporate Cheese and Seasonings
Gradually whisk in 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 0.5 tsp of salt, and 0.5 tsp of black pepper. Continue to stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
Combining Ingredients

Combine Pasta and Sauce
Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly.
- 10
Serve with Chicken
Slice the grilled chicken and place it on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
