Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the Russet potatoes. Cut them into even sticks, about 1/4 inch thick.

Dry the Potatoes
Drain the soaked potatoes and pat them dry with paper towels to remove moisture.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the dried potato sticks in batches to the hot oil. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. While they are still hot, sprinkle with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.

Serve
Serve the fries hot with your favorite dipping sauces.
