Method

Cocktail

  1. 1

    Prepare glass

Fill a highball or Collins glass with ice to chill while you mix the drink.

  2. 2

    Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add 1 cup of ice, 2 oz vodka, 1 oz coconut syrup (or cream of coconut), 2 oz pineapple juice, 1 oz whole milk, and 1 oz orange juice.

  3. 3

    Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is frosty and the mixture is well-chilled and slightly frothy from the milk.

  4. 4

    Strain and serve

Dump the ice from the chilled glass if desired and fill with fresh ice. Strain the shaken cocktail into the prepared glass over fresh ice.

  5. 5

    Garnish

Garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge on the rim. Optionally, add a short straw and a sprinkle of grated nutmeg or toasted coconut on top.

  6. 6

    Notes

Adjust coconut syrup to taste — use less for subtler coconut, more for sweeter, creamier texture. If using cream of coconut, consider reducing coconut syrup quantity slightly to avoid over-sweetness.
