Fried Won Ton Filling

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Make the Filling

In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, ground pork, chopped celery, bamboo shoots, minced garlic, and white pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Won Tons

Take a won ton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it over to create a triangle, and press the edges to seal. Repeat until all filling is used.

  3. 3

    Heat the Oil

In a deep skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot but not smoking.

  4. 4

    Fry the Won Tons

Carefully add a few won tons to the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels. Repeat until all won tons are cooked.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve warm with homemade ginger soy sauce for dipping.
