Fried Rice Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Gather all your ingredients and have them ready to use.

  2. 2

    Heat the Oil

In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.

  3. 3

    Cook the Onion and Garlic

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.

  4. 4

    Add Protein

Add your choice of chicken, shrimp, or tofu to the skillet. Cook until the protein is fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.

  5. 5

    Add Broccoli

Stir in the broccoli florets and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until they are tender.

  6. 6

    Scramble the Eggs

Push the mixture to one side of the skillet. Crack the eggs into the empty side and scramble them until fully cooked.

  7. 7

Mix in Rice and Soy Sauce

Add the cooked jasmine rice to the skillet, along with the soy sauce. Stir everything together and cook for another 3-5 minutes until heated through.

  8. 8

    Add Thai Basil

Remove the skillet from heat and fold in the fresh Thai basil leaves. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

  9. 9

    Serve

Garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro before serving.
