Ingredients for Classic BLT

Method

Directions for Classic BLT

  1. 1

    Prepare the Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the apple-wood smoked bacon until crispy, about 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Toast the Bread

Spread garlic herb butter on one side of each slice of Texas Toast. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and place the buttered side down. Toast until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Flip and toast the other side for another 2-3 minutes.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the bacon and bread are cooking, wash and dry the lettuce. Slice the tomato into thick slices. Season the tomato slices with salt and pepper.

  4. 4

    Assemble the BLT

On each slice of toasted Texas Toast, layer lettuce, followed by the crispy bacon, and then the tomato slices. Top with another slice of toasted bread, garlic herb butter side up.

  5. 5

    Serve

Slice the sandwiches in half and serve immediately with a side of fresh cut fries or house-made chips.
