Dumplings

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine the shrimp, ground chicken, chopped scallions, minced garlic, ginger, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Dumplings

Take a wonton wrapper and place about a tablespoon of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper in half, and press to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. 3

    Cook the Dumplings

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Drop the dumplings in batches and cook for about 4-5 minutes, or until they float to the surface. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small pan, heat a bit of oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and ginger, and sauté until fragrant. Add mushrooms and sauté until golden. Stir in soy sauce and simmer for a few minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Plate the dumplings and drizzle the garlic ginger mushroom sauce over them. Garnish with additional chopped scallions if desired.
