Preparation

  1. 1

    Slice the Meats

Thinly slice the beef sirloin steak and chicken breast against the grain. This will help achieve a tender texture.

  2. 2

    Prep the Vegetables

Slice the green bell pepper, onion, and mushrooms thinly. Set aside.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, green bell pepper, and mushrooms. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they are soft and slightly caramelized. Remove them from the skillet and set aside.

  2. 4

    Cook the Meats

In the same skillet, add the sliced beef sirloin steak and chicken breast. Season with salt, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Cook for about 5-8 minutes or until the meats are browned and cooked through. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking.

  3. 5

    Combine and Melt Cheese

Return the cooked vegetables to the skillet with the meats. Mix well to combine. Place slices of provolone cheese on top of the mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Prepare the Hoagie Rolls

Slice the hoagie rolls open lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through.

  2. 7

    Fill the Rolls

Using a spatula, spoon the meat and cheese mixture into each hoagie roll. Make sure to distribute the filling evenly.

  3. 8

    Serve

Serve the Philly cheese steaks warm, with your favorite sides or condiments.
