Oyster Filling

Grinder Assembly

Method

Prepare the Oyster Filling

  1. 1

    Shuck the Oysters

Carefully shuck the oysters, discarding the shells and keeping the oyster meat in a bowl.

  2. 2

    Sauté the Garlic

Mince the garlic cloves and melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

  3. 3

    Cook the Oysters

Add the shucked oysters to the skillet with the garlic. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the oysters are cooked through and curl at the edges.

  4. 4

    Add Lemon and Seasonings

Stir in the lemon juice, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Remove from heat and set aside.

Assemble the Grinder

  1. 5

    Prepare the Rolls

Slice the submarine sandwich rolls lengthwise without cutting all the way through, creating a pocket for the filling.

  2. 6

    Add the Oyster Filling

Spread the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter inside the rolls. Fill each roll with the oyster filling evenly.

  3. 7

    Top with Vegetables

Add shredded lettuce and slices of tomato on top of the oyster filling.

  4. 8

    Add Hot Sauce

Drizzle hot sauce over the filling to taste, depending on your preference for heat.

  5. 9

    Serve

Close the rolls and serve immediately while warm.
