Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Bring the strip sirloin steak to room temperature for about 30 minutes. Season generously with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Sear the Steak

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, depending on thickness.

  3. 3

    Add Flavor

During the last minute of cooking, add butter and fresh rosemary to the skillet. Spoon the melted butter over the steak to baste it.

  4. 4

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steak from the skillet and let it rest for about 10 minutes on a cutting board, loosely covered with foil.

  5. 5

    Carve and Serve

Carve the steak tableside into slices and serve immediately.
