Au Gratin Potatoes

    Prepare Potatoes

    Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Peel and thinly slice the Russet potatoes.

    Make Cheese Sauce

    In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer.

    Layer and Bake

    In a baking dish, layer potatoes and pour cheese sauce over them. Top with shredded cheddar and breadcrumbs. Bake for 45 minutes until the top is golden brown.

Asparagus

    Prepare Asparagus

    Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Trim the ends of the asparagus and place them on a baking sheet.

    Season and Roast

    Drizzle olive oil over asparagus, season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Toss to coat and roast for 15-20 minutes until tender.

Mashed Potatoes

    Cook Potatoes

    Peel and cut the potatoes into chunks. Boil in salted water until tender, about 15-20 minutes.

    Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter and cream, mashing until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.

French Fries

    Prepare Potatoes

    Cut Russet potatoes into thin strips. Soak in cold water for at least 30 minutes.

    Fry Potatoes

    Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot. Fry the potatoes in batches until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.
