Prepare the Glass
Begin by rinsing a chilled rocks glass with absinthe. Swirl it around to coat the inside and then discard the excess.

Mix the Ingredients
In a mixing glass filled with ice, combine the Redwood Empire rye, Peychaud bitters, and house syrup.

Stir and Strain
Stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds until well chilled. Strain the mixture into the prepared rocks glass.

Garnish
Express the oils from a lemon twist over the drink and drop it in as a garnish.
