Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Bundt pan.

  2. 2

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

  3. 3

    Cream Butter and Sugar

In another bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add the sugar, beating until light and fluffy.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

  6. 6

    Fold in Apples and Whiskey

Gently fold in the grated apples and Jameson Irish Whiskey until evenly distributed.

  7. 7

    Pour into Bundt Pan

Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan, smoothing the top.

  8. 8

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  9. 9

    Cool and Serve

Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack to cool completely. Serve as is or with a dusting of powdered sugar.
