Flourless Chocolate Torte
Method
Preparation Steps
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Place the bowl over a pot of simmering water to melt, stirring occasionally until smooth.
- 3
Mix Ingredients
Remove the bowl from heat. Stir in the granulated sugar until well combined. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract, salt, and cocoa powder until smooth.
- 4
Bake the Torte
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the torte is set but slightly soft in the center. Allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting onto a plate.
- 5
Make Toasted Marshmallow Cream
While the torte is cooling, place mini marshmallows on a baking sheet and broil in the oven for 1-2 minutes until toasted and golden. Remove and let cool.
- 6
Serve
Slice the torte and serve each piece with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, topped with toasted marshmallow cream and a sprinkle of graham cracker crumbs.
