Preparation

Prepare the Ingredients
Clean and prepare all seafood by peeling shrimp, cleaning squid, and scrubbing mussels. Slice mushrooms, chop tomatoes and green onions, and finely chop cilantro.
Cooking the Soup
- 2
Make the Broth
In a large pot, add the chicken or seafood broth and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, lime juice, fish sauce, chili paste, and sugar. Stir well to combine.
- 3
Add Vegetables
Once the broth is simmering, add the sliced mushrooms and chopped tomatoes. Cook for about 5 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
- 4
Add Seafood
Then, add the prepared shrimp, squid, and mussels to the pot. Cook for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is fully cooked and mussels have opened.
- 5
Season the Soup
Taste the soup and season with salt and pepper as needed. Adjust lime juice for more sourness if desired.
- 6
Garnish and Serve
Remove the pot from heat. Stir in chopped green onions and cilantro. Serve hot in bowls, garnished with extra cilantro if desired.
