Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the seafood

In a large bowl, combine the shrimp, crab legs, mussels, and clams. Set aside.

2

Prepare the vegetables

Wash and cut the red potatoes into quarters. Cut the corn into halves. Smash the garlic cloves and cut the lemons into wedges.

Cooking

3

Boil the water

Fill a large pot with water (about 4-5 gallons) and bring it to a boil over high heat. Add salt, Old Bay seasoning, and bay leaves.

4

Cook the potatoes

Once the water is boiling, add the quartered red potatoes. Cook for about 15 minutes, or until they are fork-tender.

5

Add corn and garlic

Add the corn halves and smashed garlic to the pot. Cook for an additional 5 minutes.

6

Add the seafood

Carefully add the seafood mixture (shrimp, crab legs, mussels, clams) to the pot. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and the shells have opened.

7

Drain and season

Using a colander, drain the seafood and vegetables. Return to the pot and drizzle with melted butter. Toss to coat.

Serving

8

Plate and garnish

Transfer the seafood boil to a large serving platter or table lined with parchment paper. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve lemon wedges on the side.

9

Add hot sauce

Provide hot sauce on the side for guests to add to their preference.
