Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Mussels

Rinse the green mussels under cold running water to remove any sand or debris. Discard any mussels that do not close when tapped.

  2. 2

    Prepare Vegetables

Peel the potato and cut it into quarters. Remove the husk from the corn and cut it into halves if desired for easier serving.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Boil Vegetables

In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Add the quartered potatoes and cook for about 10 minutes. Then add the corn and continue boiling for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until both are tender.

  2. 4

    Cook Mussels

Once the vegetables are cooked, remove them from the pot and set aside. In the same boiling water, add the rinsed green mussels. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the mussels open up. Discard any mussels that remain closed.

Serving

  1. 5

    Combine and Serve

Drain the mussels and place them in a large serving bowl along with the boiled corn and potatoes. Drizzle with Mr. & Mrs. Crab Special Sauce, and season with salt, black pepper, and Old Bay Seasoning to taste. Serve hot.
