Method
Chicken Tenders Preparation
- 1
Marinate the Chicken
Slice the chicken breast fillets into tender-sized strips. In a bowl, combine the chicken strips with Mr. & Mrs. Crab Special Seasoning. Ensure all pieces are well coated. Cover and let marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare Breading Station
Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls. In the first bowl, add the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In the third bowl, combine the cornstarch and breadcrumbs.
- 3
Bread the Chicken Tenders
Take each marinated chicken strip and first dredge it in the flour, shaking off excess. Next, dip it into the egg mixture, allowing any excess to drip off. Finally, coat it with the cornstarch and breadcrumbs mixture, pressing gently to adhere. Place the breaded tenders on a plate.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or pot, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C). Use a thermometer for accuracy.
- 5
Fry the Chicken Tenders
Carefully add the breaded chicken tenders to the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry each batch for about 4-5 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
Honey Mustard Sauce Preparation
- 6
Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix together honey, Dijon mustard, and mayonnaise until well combined. Adjust sweetness and tanginess to taste.
