Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Mussels

Rinse the blue mussels under cold water to remove any sand or debris. Discard any mussels that are open and do not close when tapped.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

Shuck the corn and cut it into halves or thirds depending on your preference. Scrub the potato under running water to remove dirt, and cut it into quarters.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Boil the Vegetables

In a large pot, fill it with water and bring it to a boil over high heat. Add a generous amount of salt to the boiling water, then add the potato quarters. Cook for about 10 minutes, then add the corn and continue boiling for an additional 5 minutes or until both vegetables are tender.

  2. 4

    Cook the Mussels

After the vegetables are cooked, remove them from the pot and set aside. In the same pot, add the cleaned blue mussels and sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning. Cover the pot and steam the mussels for about 5-7 minutes, or until they open up. Discard any mussels that do not open.

  3. 5

    Combine and Serve

Once the mussels are cooked, drain any excess liquid and return them to the pot. Pour in the Mr. & Mrs. Crab Special Sauce, and toss to coat the mussels evenly. Serve the mussels with the boiled corn and potatoes on a platter.
