Method

Prepare Taco Shells

  1. 1

    Heat Oil

In a deep skillet or pot, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat until it reaches about 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Fry Wonton Wrappers

Carefully place 2-3 wonton wrappers at a time in the hot oil. Fry for 1-2 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on paper towels.

  3. 3

    Shape the Shells

While still warm, gently shape the fried wonton wrappers into taco shells by bending them into a U-shape. Allow them to cool completely.

Prepare Tuna Filling

  1. 4

    Mix Ingredients

In a medium bowl, combine the diced ahi tuna, soy sauce, sesame oil, sliced green onions, sriracha sauce, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until combined.

  2. 5

    Chill

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Assemble Tacos

  1. 6

    Fill Taco Shells

Take the cooled taco shells and fill each with the chilled tuna mixture, distributing evenly among the shells.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Top each taco with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.
