For Blackened Shrimp Tacos

Method

For Blackened Shrimp Tacos

  1. 1

    Prepare the Shrimp

In a bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil and blackening spice until well coated.

  2. 2

    Cook the Shrimp

Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until cooked through and blackened.

  3. 3

    Warm the Tortillas

While the shrimp is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan or microwave until pliable.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Tacos

Place the cooked shrimp on the warm tortillas, top with shredded cabbage, avocado slices, and chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.

For Black Bean Tacos

  1. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.

  2. 6

    Add Black Beans

Stir in the black beans and ground cumin, cooking for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.

  3. 7

    Warm the Tortillas

While the black bean mixture is heating, warm the corn tortillas in a separate pan or microwave until pliable.

  4. 8

    Assemble the Tacos

Spoon the black bean mixture onto the warm tortillas, top with shredded cabbage, avocado slices, and chopped cilantro. Serve with lime wedges on the side.
