Method

Preparation of Steak

  1. 1

    Season the Steak

Generously season the steak with salt and black pepper on both sides.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the steak for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Salad Assembly

  1. 3

    Prep the Vegetables

Wash and dry the artisan greens. Halve the grape tomatoes, slice the avocado, and finely chop the red onion.

  2. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the artisan greens, grape tomatoes, avocado, red onion, and roasted corn.

Make the Dressing

  1. 5

    Mix Dressing Ingredients

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, red wine vinegar, Dijon mustard, honey, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes until well combined.

  2. 6

    Dress the Salad

Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and toss gently to coat.

Prepare Crostinis

  1. 7

    Slice and Toast Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch pieces. Brush both sides with olive oil and toast in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Top with Goat Cheese

Spread goat cheese on each toasted crostini.

Final Assembly

  1. 9

    Combine Salad and Steak

Slice the rested steak thinly against the grain. Add the sliced steak to the salad and toss gently.

  2. 10

    Serve

Serve the steak salad on plates with crostinis on the side.
