Method

Prepare Marinade

  1. 1

    Mix Marinade Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the soy sauce, grated ginger, sesame oil, lime juice, and honey. Whisk until well blended.

Prepare Tuna

  1. 2

    Marinate Tuna

Place the sushi grade ahi tuna in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over it. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

  2. 3

    Sear Tuna

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove tuna from marinade and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side, until the outside is cooked and the center remains rare. Remove from heat and let rest.

Assemble Salad

  1. 4

    Prepare Salad Ingredients

While the tuna is resting, prepare the salad components. Slice the avocado and blanch the snap peas in boiling water for 1-2 minutes, then rinse in cold water.

  2. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the edamame beans, sliced avocado, and snap peas. Toss gently to combine.

  3. 6

    Slice Tuna

Slice the seared tuna into thin strips.

  4. 7

    Serve

Top the salad with the sliced tuna, sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced green onions. Drizzle any remaining marinade over the top if desired, and serve immediately.
