Method

Dip Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Dip Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sour cream, and half of the aged white cheddar cheese. Mix until smooth.

  3. 3

    Add Remaining Ingredients

Fold in the lump crab meat, minced garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid breaking up the crab meat.

  4. 4

    Transfer to Baking Dish

Transfer the mixture to an oven-safe baking dish and sprinkle the remaining aged white cheddar cheese on top.

  5. 5

    Bake the Dip

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted.

  6. 6

    Garnish

Remove from the oven and sprinkle chopped chives on top for garnish.

Crostini Preparation

  1. 7

    Prepare Baguette

Slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

  2. 8

    Brush with Olive Oil

Brush both sides of each slice with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and salt.

  3. 9

    Toast Crostini

Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and toast in the oven (you can place them in the oven while the dip is baking) for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 10

    Serve

Once both the dip and crostini are ready, serve the hot crab dip with the toasted crostini on the side.
