Preparation
- 1
Muddle the Lime
Cut the fresh lime into quarters. In a cocktail shaker, add the lime quarters and muddle them gently with a muddler or the back of a spoon to release the juice.
- 2
Add Lime Leaves
Add the lime leaves to the shaker with the muddled lime. Gently press the leaves to release their aromatic oils.
- 3
Mix with Gin
Pour the Tanqueray gin into the shaker. Add ice, and shake well for about 15 seconds to combine the flavors.
- 4
Prepare the Glass
Fill a highball glass with ice. Strain the gin and lime mixture over the ice.
- 5
Add Tonic and Garnish
Top off the drink with tonic water. Garnish with the frozen citrus slices for an added touch of flavor and presentation.
