Method
Burger Directions
- 1
Prepare the Patties
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Mix gently to avoid overworking the meat.
- 2
Form the Patties
Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about ¾ inch thick.
- 3
- 4
Add Cheese
After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the cheese melts and the patties are cooked to your desired doneness.
- 5
Assemble the Burgers
Toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet for a minute. Place a patty on each bun, add lettuce, tomato (sliced), onion (sliced), pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
Fries Directions
- 6
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips to form fries.
- 7
Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 8
Fry the Potatoes
Carefully add the potato strips in batches to the hot oil and fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown.
- 9
Drain and Season
Remove the fries from the oil, drain on paper towels, and sprinkle with salt while still hot.
