Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a small baking dish (approximately 8x8 inches) or line it with parchment paper.
- 2
Melt the Butter
In a medium saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
- 3
Mix Sugars and Eggs
Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter, stirring until well combined. Then add the large eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- 4
Add Vanilla
Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
- 5
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, and salt.
- 6
Combine Mixtures
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.
- 7
Add Chocolate Chips
Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
- 8
Pour into Baking Dish
Pour the brownie mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- 9
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are set and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- 10
Cool and Serve
Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for at least 10 minutes before cutting them into small portions and serving.
