Method

Brownie Base

  1. 1

    Melt the Butter and Chocolate

In a saucepan over low heat, melt the unsalted butter and 1 cup of white chocolate chips, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Mix in Sugars

In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter and chocolate mixture with granulated sugar and brown sugar. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

  5. 5

    Bake the Brownies

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan and pour the brownie batter into it, smoothing the top. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  6. 6

    Cool

Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Chocolate Sauce

  1. 7

    Heat the Cream

In a small saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Do not let it boil.

  2. 8

    Melt Chocolate

Remove the saucepan from the heat and add the remaining 1 cup of white chocolate chips. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted and the sauce is smooth.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Dessert

Cut the cooled brownies into squares and place them on serving plates. Top each brownie with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream.

  2. 10

    Drizzle with Chocolate Sauce

Generously drizzle the warm chocolate sauce over the ice cream and brownie.

  3. 11

    Add Whipped Cream

Finish by dolloping real whipped cream on top of the ice cream and serve immediately.
