Dumplings

Method

Dumpling Preparation

1

Make the Filling

In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.

2

Fill the Dumplings

Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Scoop about 1 tablespoon of the pork filling into the center of the wrapper. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle, pressing the edges to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

Cooking the Dumplings

3

Pan-Fry the Dumplings

In a large skillet, heat a tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the dumplings in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bottoms are golden brown.

4

Steam the Dumplings

Add 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover immediately. Steam the dumplings for about 5-7 minutes until cooked through. Remove the lid and allow any remaining water to evaporate.

Chili Ponzu Sauce

5

Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, yuzu juice (or lime juice), chili oil, and toasted sesame seeds. Stir well to combine. Set aside.

Fresh Mango Salsa

6

Make the Salsa

In a separate bowl, mix together diced mango, red onion, cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Stir until well combined and set aside.

Serving

7

Plate and Serve

Serve the potstickers hot alongside the chili ponzu sauce and fresh mango salsa for dipping.
