Salad Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Salad Ingredients

Rinse the edamame beans and snap peas under cold water. If using frozen edamame, cook them according to package instructions. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and slice into thin wedges.

  2. 2

    Season the Tuna

In a small bowl, mix together the grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, salt, and black pepper. Brush this mixture onto both sides of the tuna fillets.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Sear the Tuna

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the tuna fillets and sear for about 1-2 minutes on each side, or until a nice crust forms. The inside should remain rare.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Salad

On a large plate or bowl, arrange the mixed greens as a base. Top with the seared tuna, edamame, snap peas, and avocado slices. Drizzle any remaining ginger-soy dressing over the top.
