Method

Prepare the Broth

  1. 1

    Cook garlic and ginger

In a large pot, heat the sesame oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and grated ginger. Sauté for about 2 minutes until fragrant.

  2. 2

    Add vegetable broth

Pour in the vegetable broth and bring to a simmer.

  3. 3

Stir in miso and soy sauce

Once the broth is simmering, stir in the miso paste and soy sauce until fully dissolved.

  4. 4

    Add green onions

Chop the green onions and add them to the broth. Let it simmer for an additional 5-10 minutes.

Cook the Noodles

  1. 5

    Boil water

In a separate pot, bring water to a boil.

  2. 6

    Cook ramen noodles

Add the ramen noodles to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, typically 3-4 minutes.

  3. 7

    Drain noodles

Once cooked, drain the noodles and set aside.

Assemble the Ramen

  1. 8

    Serve noodles

In bowls, divide the cooked ramen noodles equally.

  2. 9

    Pour broth

Ladle the hot miso broth over the noodles.

  3. 10

    Add toppings

Top each bowl with chili garlic sauce, soft-boiled eggs (halved), nori sheets, bean sprouts, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
