Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F) to prepare for baking the chocolate lava cakes.

Making the Batter

Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a heatproof bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Melt them together over a pot of simmering water (double boiler method) or in the microwave in 30-second intervals until smooth. Let it cool slightly.

Combine All Ingredients
Add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture and stir to combine. Gradually fold in the dry ingredients until the batter is smooth and well combined.

Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.

Bake the Cakes
Place the ramekins on a baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes. The edges should be firm, but the center should be soft.
Serving

Cool and Serve
Let the cakes rest for 1 minute. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a serving plate. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and fresh berries if desired.
