Method
Chicken Fingers
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the chicken breasts into strips, about 1 inch wide. Pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow bowls, place the flour in the first bowl, whisk the eggs in the second bowl, and put the bread crumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika in the third bowl.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, shaking off the excess, then into the eggs, and finally coat with the bread crumbs. Press the crumbs onto the chicken to ensure they stick.
- 4
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the breaded chicken fingers in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the pan and let drain on paper towels.
Fries
- 5
Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips, about 1/4 inch thick.
- 6
Fry the Fries
In a separate large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C). Carefully add the potato strips in batches and fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy. Remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- 7
Season the Fries
While the fries are still hot, season with salt and black pepper to taste.
