Method

Preparation of Dressing

  1. 1

    Make the Caesar Dressing

In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced garlic, minced anchovies, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and olive oil. Whisk together until smooth.

  2. 2

    Season the Dressing

Add salt and black pepper to taste. Adjust seasoning if needed and set aside.

Preparation of Salad

  1. 3

    Prepare the Lettuce

Wash the Romaine lettuce thoroughly, then chop it into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

  2. 4

    Add Additional Ingredients

Halve the cherry tomatoes and add them to the bowl. Add the black olives and grated Grana Padano cheese.

  3. 5

    Add Dressing

Pour the prepared Caesar dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine all ingredients.

Preparation of Croutons

  1. 6

    Make Croutons

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the ciabatta baguette into cubes. In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, and salt until evenly coated.

  2. 7

    Bake the Croutons

Spread the bread cubes on a baking sheet in a single layer and bake for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown, turning once halfway through.

Assembly

  1. 8

    Combine and Serve

Once the croutons are ready, add them to the salad. Toss gently once more and serve immediately with additional Grana Padano on top if desired.
