Pork Preparation

Garlic Sauce

Method

Pork Preparation

  1. 1

    Slice the Pork

Thinly slice the pork tenderloin against the grain into strips. This will help make the pork more tender.

  2. 2

    Season and Coat

In a bowl, mix the sliced pork with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated. Let it marinate for about 15 minutes.

Garlic Sauce

  1. 3

    Prepare the Sauce

In a small bowl, combine minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, rice vinegar, chili paste, brown sugar, sesame oil, and water. Mix well and set aside.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Stir-fry the Pork

Heat a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add a tablespoon of oil and stir-fry the coated pork until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from pan and set aside.

  2. 5

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed. Stir-fry the bell pepper and carrot until tender, about 3-4 minutes.

  3. 6

    Combine with Sauce

Return the cooked pork to the skillet with the vegetables. Pour the garlic sauce over the mixture and stir well to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  4. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Remove from heat and stir in chopped green onions. Serve hot with steamed rice or noodles.
