Preparation Directions
- 1
Prepare the Bread
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Tear the day-old bread into small pieces and place it in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Mix Wet Ingredients
In another bowl, whisk together the milk, heavy cream, granulated sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon until well combined.
- 3
Combine Ingredients
Pour the wet mixture over the bread pieces, making sure all the bread is soaked. Gently fold in the raisins.
- 4
Prepare the Baking Dish
Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter. Pour the bread pudding mixture into the prepared dish.
- 5
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 6
Serve
Let the bread pudding cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
