Nutty Pecan Brownies

Prepare the Batter

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in the sugars until well combined. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined. Fold in the chopped pecans.

Bake the Brownies

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Let cool before cutting into squares.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl, then gradually mix into the butter mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips.

Bake the Cookies

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Allow to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
