Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium-sized saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from the heat and add the loose black tea leaves or tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on your preferred strength.

  3. 3

    Strain Tea

If using loose tea leaves, strain the tea into a pitcher to remove the leaves. If using tea bags, simply remove the bags.

  4. 4

    Cool Down

Let the tea cool to room temperature and then refrigerate until chilled, about 30 minutes.

  5. 5

    Serve

Pour the chilled tea into glasses filled with ice, and garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint leaves as desired.
