Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meat

Cut the mixed steak, brisket, and bottom roast into thin strips, approximately 1 inch wide.

  2. 2

    Make the Marinade

In a large bowl, combine ground ginger, ground garlic, paprika, cayenne pepper, vegetable oil, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Marinating

  1. 3

    Marinate the Meat

Add the sliced meat to the marinade and ensure that each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Grilling

  1. 4

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, about 400°F (200°C).

  2. 5

    Skewer the Meat

Thread the marinated meat onto skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.

  3. 6

    Grill the Meat

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally until the meat is nicely charred and cooked to your desired doneness.

  4. 7

    Rest and Serve

Once grilled, remove the skewers from the grill and allow the meat to rest for 5 minutes before serving. Enjoy your Suya hot!
