Method

Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Cook the Sushi Rice

Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Cook the rice in a rice cooker or on the stove according to package instructions. Once cooked, let it cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Season the Rice

In a small bowl, mix rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Gently fold this mixture into the cooled sushi rice until well combined.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Fillings

Slice the salmon and tuna into long strips. Julienne the cucumber and slice the avocado.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sushi Rolls

Lay a nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat. Wet your hands and spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving a small border at the top. Place the salmon, tuna, cucumber, and avocado in the center of the rice. Roll the sushi tightly using the mat, sealing the edge with a little water.

  5. 5

    Slice the Rolls

Using a sharp knife, slice the roll into bite-sized pieces. Repeat with remaining ingredients.

  6. 6

    Garnish and Serve

Arrange the sushi pieces on a platter. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and serve with soy sauce, wasabi, and pickled ginger on the side.
