Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Cauliflower
Cut the cauliflower into small florets and rinse them thoroughly under running water. This helps remove any dirt or impurities.
- 2
Prepare the Garlic and Ginger
Chop the garlic cloves finely and grate the ginger into a paste.
Batter Preparation
- 3
Make the Batter
In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, corn starch, black pepper powder, salt, chopped garlic, and grated ginger. Gradually add water while stirring until the batter is smooth and free of lumps.
- 4
Coat the Cauliflower
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring they are fully coated. Shake off any excess batter.
Frying
- 5
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or wok, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches around 350°F (175°C).
- 6
Fry the Cauliflower
Carefully add the coated cauliflower florets to the hot oil in batches. Fry until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch. Use a slotted spoon to remove them and drain on paper towels.
