Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, garam masala, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the spices are evenly distributed.

  2. 2

    Add Aromatics

Add the ginger-garlic paste, chopped cilantro, finely chopped green chilies, and grated onion to the bowl. Mix thoroughly to combine all ingredients.

  3. 3

    Bind the Mixture

Add the bread crumbs and the egg to the chicken mixture. Use your hands to combine everything until it forms a sticky mixture that holds together.

Shaping Kebabs

  1. 4

    Shape the Kebabs

Wet your hands with water and take a portion of the mixture. Shape it into a long, cylindrical kebab, about 6 inches long and 1 inch in diameter. Repeat for the remaining mixture.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Preheat and Grease

Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat. Lightly grease the grill grates or a baking tray with oil.

  2. 6

    Grill the Kebabs

Place the shaped kebabs on the grill or baking tray. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Serving

  1. 7

    Serve

Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve hot with mint chutney and sliced onions.
